The Shamrock

The Shamrock  what could be luckier!

The Shamrock, {or Mother-Hearts as it was known by the Celtic Tribes}, represented the three Mothers of Celtic lore, sometimes called the Three Brigits or Three Morgans.  Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, later used the Shamrock to explain the Gospel of the Holy Trinity: Father, Son and the Holy Ghost during his sermons.  Since most three sided symbols represent a magical influence, the giving or receiving of a Shamrock is believed to bring with it good luck in the future.
